- Definition of marriage – Support

I would require more information about the suggested purpose of encouraging people to marry.
- Role and support of parents – Support
- CYF Complaints Authority – Support
- Parental choice for education – Oppose
I would require more information on this questions taking into account that there are ECE and state school options that I personally believe delivery very well to our communities and children – not sure where this is going?
- Income Splitting – Support
- Unborn child right to life – Oppose
This is a question that should only be decided by binding referendum that the whole nation takes part in – this issue is one that alters our society and should not be left to the conscience vote of politicians.
- Informed Consent for Abortion – Oppose
My answer above stands for this question also
- Parental notification – Support
Additional comment (if any):_I wish to clarify that I believe that the parent of any young woman the age of 16 or under should be informed if their daughter is pregnant and this is not dependant upon her expressing a view toward abortion. What if my son’s were about to become Fathers – should I not also be informed ?
- Abstinence-based sex education – Oppose
I would require further information on this question e.g. and emphasis is quite different from a system only based on abstinence but I certainly support that parents should be made aware of the content of the curriculum prior to it being provided and given the option to remove their under age child.
- Surrogacy – Oppose
Again I would require more information around detail – there are some circumstances that I believe appropriate and some where I do not.
- Embryonic stem cell research – Oppose
I believe this is a binding referendum question
- Same sex couple adoption – Oppose
I would like further information and discussion around this topic.

- Criminalise buyer of prostitution – Support
- Improve broadcasting standards – Support

While I find such events personally un-necessary and would never participate or go to watch such an event and I believe that certain freedoms have been used for personal gain in this particular instance I would seek direction from my community on this particular issue – because it is an amendment to the Crimes Act – possibly another situation for a binding referendum.
- G-rated billboard advertising – Support
- Raising drinking age – Support
- Decriminalise smacking – Support
Article 59 should have been amended to provide guidance not removed from the ACT
- Child Abuse Commission of Inquiry – Support
- Liberalise Easter trading laws – Oppose
- Regulation of loan sharks – Support
- Reduced gambling – Undecided
I would require more informaton about the final objective and some extreme could merely drive the issue underground
- Welfare Vouchers for At-Risk – Undecided
I think it interesting that tabacco and alcohol have been included with drugs and gambling and the question is very wide with the statement other expenses? I would require more information before making a stand.
- Binding Citizens’ Initiated Referenda – Support
This one of New Zealand First Founding Principles – we have a policy and a plan of how this would work that has been around for 17 years if not more
